IamtheMumma
After playing with YNAB, it doesn't work for me. Can anyone recommend home budgeting software that allows future predicting and future expenses? Ideally for access on a laptop and android app. Needs to allow for irregular income. It doesn't have to be free but low costing would be ideal. Edited August 3, 2021 by IamtheMumma
VeritasVinumArte
Build your own spreadsheet? I have been using a spreadsheet for about 5years now (that included coverage during our extension/renovation). We have very uneven income and large payments going out ad-hoc. IamtheMumma
That's what I'm thinking I'll need to do. I've tried YNAB, PocketSmith, iMint and a couple of excel spreadsheets.
Ozgirl
My spreadsheet is here. https://www.everybump.com.au/forums/viewtopic.php?t=4153 my pay goes into one bank acct. I know it can cover all bills (because of the above spreadsheet) So just pay them. I give myself an allowance each week (but get paid monthly). I transfer out a set savings amount to another acct. so my main acct is a slush fund of sorts. if you have irregular income then I would only save if you have ‘leftovers each month. Ie if you bills average out to $3000k each month make sure that is set aside each and every month before you speaks/set aside anything else. Ozgirl
Its some made up numbers so you can make sense of it. You can add and subtract lines, and copy the appropriate formulas. If included somewhere where you can enter you after tax income to get the figures Barefoot suggests people live by, On the second tab is an ongoing savings calculator.
