s_mdn v2.0
Moana is beautiful - the scene where she returns the heart of tifiti makes me cry every. single. time.Steel Magnolias is gorgeous. Not a movie, but rebooted She-ra does pretty well. The 90s movie Now and Then?Frances Ha is pretty feminist.Would Kill Bill 1 & 2 count? There's a lot of talk of bill, but mostly in relation to herself and her daughter - plus it ultimately explores the relationships between women as manipulated by men?! s_mdn v2.0
oh, and I watched Promising Young Woman the other week. It's feminist in some ways, and Laverne Cox is great though given wayyyyyy too little screen time, and to me it kinda shoots itself in the foot with the romantic plot. purplekitty
I love How To Make An American Quilt with Winona Ryder. The stories of how they over came poor relationships to become strongerI love the juxtaposition of beautiful, impulsive, passionate young women with their grey-haired,older selves who become largely invisible as people in society as though they were always old crones.Im also love the loyalty and sense of community as they make a quilt together.
