Good morning ladies!

I'm on CD5, so on to TTC December now (our first official month of TTC number 2). Thought it would be fitting to open a new thread on a Monday :-)

Welcome!

I should formally introduce myself. I am the mod in these here parts. feel free to PM any time with any questions/concerns/ideas.

Well done on creating a thread - there was always angst in 9EB land on creating them.

As I am doing IVF with Donor sperm there is no baby dancing here LOL. I may actually ovulate in NOV but Frozen embryo transfer in Dec with testing/POAS in Dec. So i think i will join you lady's in the Dec emotional rollercoaster ride.

I'm CD8 today. Will start Clear blue OPK's tonight. My cycles have been random this past year (between 21-27, but average is 25-27 days) I usually get signs of O, but again a bit random and all over the place lately so keen to zone in and see when I ovulate :-)

Good luck ladies, we will amp up our BD-ing from tonight :-D if all goes well I'll be testing 9/10/11 December. Will see what the OPK's show!

Great idea to test when you O. If you Ovulate Day 14 or later that's a short Luteal Phase. But you may ovulate earlier, which means you have been missing the window. But the good news is your luteal phase will be good! YOu typically need a luteal phase longer than 11.

CD14 today for me. I apparently ovulated on Saturday - so week gets thrown into chaos as I need to travel interstate for my embryo transfer.

Especially crazy as I didn't ovulate until CD18 last month!

Hello 👋🏻

I’ve been hesitant to join, as I feel I don’t quite belong in TTC groups, but I’m at the point where I want to be part of a group that is going through similar. Somewhere that there are people who get the frustrations, joys and sorrows of TTC. I hope you don’t all mind?

We’ve been TTC our 5th for 4 years now, and it has been a long, stressful, emotional & heartbreaking time. A year into TTC I suffered my 2nd ectopic pregnancy, and then a few months ago I had a miscarriage. My fertility specialist also confirmed in January this year, that my only remaining Fallopian tube is blocked and IVF is my only option to conceive - not sure how my recent pregnancy & miscarriage happened though 🤷🏻‍♀️ I consider it a one time fluke.

We’re not pursuing IVF at this point, but instead continuing on as we were and hoping for the best. I’m not expecting anything to happen, but hope and wish and beg so hard that it does. But afraid that when/IF it does, that it’ll be another traumatic end due to ectopic or miscarriage. So I’m not so much doing all the tracking that I did so hard when I first started ttc, but instead just having sex when my body throws out the obvious fertile signs.

I may not post a lot, or maybe I will, but again, I hope you don’t mind me joining you all?

I’m CD 10, and a few days from entering my fertile phase. I don’t do any testing unless my period is late, which for me is past 32 days.

Welcome! I get you 100% my daughter was conceived via IVF with my first husband after nearly 5 years. I had a miscarriage in March this year after 5 months TTC which shocked the hell out of me , and now we still going.

Yeh, I usually ovulate around 12-14, seems to fluctuate for me. My Luteal phase is usually OK. I started OPK's on Thursday (CD8) and it went low, low, high, peak on the peak day (Sunday) I had a little EWCM, but then yesterday it was insane the amount of EWCM and we BD'd last night. Might see if we can get in one more tonight or tomorrow. At the moment we just BD when we feel like it throughout my cycles, but I gear it up around O time :-D

So 1DPO for me today, here comes the waiting game...

Good luck ladies, anyone else leading up to Ovulation? xx

That's not a great fluctuation actually - it seems like CD13 is your normal day. It just fluctuates in that 24hr period, which makes it seem late or early. I think makes sense?

Now me... well that's a little crazy. I was CD18 last month, and CD12 this month - whhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy

CD12 over here, I'm doing medicated cycle tracking with Letrozole and no sign of O in my bloods yesterday, should be anywhere between Thursday and Saturday, We'll just BD every 32 hours or so this week and hope for the best like we always do :)

How did you to at doctors today ABanana93 ?

Just like last cycle I have started spotting, but this time day 5 not day 6. So day 7 now. AF due Saturday. Sigh. Luteal phase has been only 10 days since IUD removed late August.

Only 3 more months left until we stop trying and I get the IUD put back in. Feeling a bit sad about it all tbh. I conceived my first two within the first 2 cycles so with my luteal phase being so short now and being my 3rd cycle I don’t feel positive there will be a third baby. Very thankful for the 2 I have, and I know I’ll be ok but for now I am sad. And that’s ok.

@Ozgirl that’s exciting about the transfer! Is it 1 or 2 embryos being transferred? Do you get a choice?

I do get a choice, but I am going to only have one. There are a few cons related to two being transfered.

Hi summer08 Have you heard of/tried Vitex before?

I read about it 3 years ago when I had been TTC for 6months. My luteal phase used to be quite short and going on Vitex really helped! The 3 following cycles after starting on Vitex I fell pregnant - all ended in a loss/chemical (which is when I went on to using progesterone after a BFP which resulted in my 2YO.

I'll be starting Vitex if this cycle isn't successful. My luteal phase isn't too short, but it isn't great either! :-)

Ozgirl have you had the transfer? I'm not sure on the steps with a transfer, do you test at home or do you get bloods done on certain days? Sorry to be a little naïve!

Oh Vitex is Fab for regulating cycles! I used it too.

A med called CoQ10 is really great for helping egg quality too. And certainly can't hurt.

Also on supplements. If you haven't had pre conception bloods, it's worth it. That way you only take the supplements you need. I.e. my iron levels are typically high. So I really only need folate. The multi ones are typically very expensive and if you are just peeing them out... a bit of a waste.

PositiveVibes90 I am sitting in the waiting room.

I have bloods in about 10 days. But typically POAS about 9 days post ovulation. In IVF world we actually call it 4dp5dt. So 4 days post 5 day transfer. As I'm having a 5 day old embryo transfered.
