MissHLH
Sounds like a good time for a break. Have you thought about what you will do with the ‘time off’? I’m glad your clinic is trying new things.
Wolf87
Little break sounds good Ozgirl. Fingers crossed a medicated cycle is the go.
Ozgirl
The time off is to make sure the next pregnancy due date is not on my son's date.
Wolf87
That’s understandable.
la di dah
Of my five frozen five day blastocysts, 2 came back normal I just found out today, and three had the "one in four" lethal combo. We will be implanting the first of two in March.I'm so scared tbh. nomviv
2 unaffected embryos is an excellent outcome for one round, congratulations!!! That is honestly a great outcome. Where is your fear coming from?
la di dah
Just seems scary only two chances. Had thought there'd be more from thirteen eggs and five embryos but that's the dice roll on the disease that's the whole reason we're doing IVF. I'm just generally scared though it's likely not wholly rational. I'll just carry on and put one foot in front of the other and do my best. Ozgirl
Are you having both implanted? But yay for two embryos.
nomviv
I had 7 embryos from six ivf cycles and 6/7 were affected with my husband’s genetic mutation (which only has a 50/50 chance of passing on). We had a shit roll of the dice - but it only takes one and it’s baking away right now, I’m 6*2. Don’t psych yourself out, focus on the positive and be kind to yourself. I focused on moving my body and doing my favourite things in the lead up to transfer to nourish yourself - highly recommend
la di dah
Unless something strange happens we'd implant both I think. Not at the same time but eventually.I did ten km walking today, because slow steady exercise feels good and calms me. Then I ate a whole veggie pizza. Lmao
Ozgirl
Yeah, I agree just implant one at a time. Veggie pizza, isnt that like negative calories?? LOL
Ozgirl
Another day, another cycle. And another weird cycle. Only 26 day cycle.
Ozgirl
Just did my trigger for a medicated FET. I grew 3 good sized follicles this month. Should go pick up at the pub! Seems a waste to not try and fertilise them! But gosh are they aching!! Ive had stim cycles of 10 or more follicles that I havent felt a thing with! pink-opal
I am one day behind you iamozgirl, triggered last night for an FET next Saturday. It has been so long since I have an FET I was caught by surprise at how short the whole process has been, compared to previous full cycles. DS will be just under 8 months come transfer, so fingers crossed my FS’s advice to try again ASAP to get the benefits of pregnancy pays off. I don’t think I could go through another full round /s of IVF.
la di dah
Have first blood test after my period getting ready for my frozen transfer this Wednesday. I'm really not clear on what the normal timeline for transfer is after that, the following week? After more blood tests I assume.Obviously I'll ask the nurses I'm just awkward. Ozgirl
La di dah, are you doing natural or medicated? What cycle day are you? They typically monitor bloods until ovulation (unless using a trigger) and then your embryo transfer will be 5 days after ovulation. my trigger for ovulation was friday, you ovulate 36 hrs later, so I ovulated this morning, with transfer of my frozen 5 day emby on Friday. la di dah
I started the very beginning of my period March 14th, bleeding earnestly 15. They booked me first blood test 24th. They said there will be more blood tests after that but yeah I guess the actual embryo transfer is within a week? They haven't said what meds if any yet. Ozgirl
Sounds like a non medicated FET. Do you know when you usually ovulate? If its day 14 (so the 28th March) your transfer will be 5 days after that.
StephA
Hi ladies,Sorry to just jump in here but I'm hoping one of you might be able to give me some insight that I can't seem to find anywhere else. I'm not doing IVF yet but it is the next step for us.I'm currently doing cycle tracking on 5mg letrozole and had my first blood test for the month yesterday at CD09. Well my progesterone levels are up at 21 and i have no idea what it means/why they are so high when i haven't ovulated yet and my LH surge hasn't even started. Every other month my CD09 levels have been less then 1.I can't seem to find any info on this other then what it means if you are mid IVF cycle and when i rang my OB office the receptionist just said 'if there was a problem the doctor will call you'.Does anyone have any experience with a late follicular phase progesterone rise and what it means? Ozgirl
Oh yes, that seems really strange. But yes, I think you need to take comfort in the fact that your OB is not concerned. however is your OB a fertility specialist?
la di dah
Okay today they said I'll go on progesterone insertables which I'm dreading because I don't really insert anything well. I asked if I could have a pill or shot and they said no. She was like it's like a tampon and I had to say I have never been able to use a tampon.Send me good vibes please. I know everyone is different, but in my experience the pessaries are the less problematic part of the processes. Do you mind if I ask how you handle the other aspects of the process such as internal ultrasounds etc, or is it ok if someone else is doing it? Do you mind if I ask how you handle the other aspects of the process such as internal ultrasounds etc, or is it ok if someone else is doing it? I don't do well with them. Hurts a lot. But I'm basically like "I'm sorry I will hold still but I can't do more than that, just do what has to be done, I'm not angry at you."I don't scream or move around. But in the past I've had gynos refuse to do a pap smear because I was too tight. I'm getting a little better?Having one tomorrow but the nurse has made a note to try abdominal first.
