Seayork2002
My brain does not have the stamina for movies anymore but when I was younger is was the 1980's Brat Pack type movies, Clueless, The Full Monty, JFK (a weird one for a 'cheer me up movie' but I was obsessed with that movie), Life of Brian and the National Lampoon movies, Police Academy possiblygreat thread

VeritasVinumArte
riotproof I recently rewatched 10 Things with DD11 and really liked the fact that Patrick refused to kiss Kat because she was too drunk. I adore Miss Perkis and her writing.... especially as I adore Historical Romance books and the fact the actress also plays CJ in West Wing. I didn’t realize it was pg either, so most jokes go above little kids heads and there’s nothing gratuitous.

Jerry
A PP mentioned Muriel's Wedding. That movie brings me right down - so sad.If I need a pick me up I like to watch movies of adventure or great lives. I love watching Wild (with Reese Witherspoon) or TV shows about adventure. Am currently very motivated and made happy by watching Ben Fogle's "Where the Wild men are", or other shows about travel and nature. But I also love a good musical.
