ImperatorFuriosa
Any product that can red wine splatter off a couch? White wine I hear (genuine suggestion but not tested it myself) It will be a waste cause no one in this house will drink what's left. I suppose I could buy aldi wine and tip the rest down the drain. overlytired
Salt normally takes out red wine stains.I also thought this was about drinking on the sofa, not a sofa emergency.

DogsLife
You could try something like Napisan pre-stain remover that you use on clothes, just make sure after a few minutes you rinse it off well.

Ponky
Check out Shannon Lush blog - she is the guru for getting stains out of stuff. I think she uses bicarb and vinegar.this is what she saysRemove excess by blotting with paper towel. Don’t apply salt or soda water.– Sprinkle with a little bicarb and tap with your fingers. Red wine will change colour from red to pale grey.– Wring a cloth in white vinegar and wipe out the bicarb. Repeat until the colour is removed.– Leave to dry.– Vacuum. Repeat, if needed.– For old stains, wipe with two drops of glycerine on a toothbrush. Leave for 90 minutes. Then follow the instructions above.Hope it works for you

LifesGood
I think bicarb soda works, depends on the fabric and colour. More info please.
