Posture

Has anyone successfully rectified poor posture?

I've had 2 separate back issues within a month, different causes. I'm very slouchy.

While I don't think my poor posture caused the problems I do feel it probably doesn't help any.

I have terrible posture.

Some things that help me:

  • Having my workstation set up ergonomically including a high backed chair with lumbar support

  • Strengthening my core muscles

  • Yoga/pilates

See a physiotherapist.

They will be able to tell you where the problems with your posture are coming from. All three of my girls are hyper mobile in their backs. Each of them had compensated for that in different ways, so had to focus on different things to correct posture/back issues.

PP’s advice is excellent, I also row to strengthen my back, I find having muscle in my shoulders and latts naturally gives me better posture.

Rowings not for everybody, I like it bc it works all your major muscle groups and is an effective calorie burner, you can be done in 15 minutes

Sweet!

Good luck
