Length of barbell

Hi,

Could someone help me make a decision?

I want to buy a barbell to do weights at home (lesmills pump style). I'll probably buy from catch. I don't currently have a gym membership so I can't go and measure what I'm used to.

I used to do pump and I think the length of the barbells are shorter.

Is the best length 120 cm or 150cm?

Thanks. When I looked it up I realised pump bars sold in pump sets were super light and I remember them being hollow. They used to break alot at the gym probably because people loaded more than they were capable of.

The 150cm is 30 bucks cheaper. Makes no sense.

What weights do others have at home?

I'm thinking I just need

20kg x 2

10kg x 2

5 kg x 2

2.5 kg x 2

I think i used to lift between 5 and 40 kg depending on the exercise.

I think that sounds like a good choice of weights to work with and will give you lots of options.

We have an Olympic bar and weights/collars at home. These days I tend to just do weightlifting over Pump. Lately i've just been doing spin classes and leg work on machines in the gym as I have a broken hand and can't do much else.
