HoneyBear
Need something new.I am not a fan of true crime.I find Mumma Mia just annoying most of the time I went through a lot of interesting psychology/personal growth podcasts but am a bit over than right now.Love Conversations, Arm Chair Expert (when Dax can refrain from talking about himself), Risk Equation, other than that struggling a bit to find something.Any good recommendations? Feebi
If you are looking for comedy - I haven't listened to it myself, but my dad wrote a porno is supposed to be good.Someones retired dad had an attempt at writing a book and wrote a really bad erotic novel and the podcast is reading said book. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/My_Dad_Wrote_a_Porno
Bethlehem
Interview by Andre Denton. It’s a podcast of the tv show he did a few years ago. Sometimes with extras. Similar to conversations. Try strong songs- Kirk Hamilton. Brings music theory to life examining great songs.
Bethlehem
Oh and tall tales and true from abc. And days like these. Shorter forms of coversation podcast. They call conversations their big sister.
JustBeige
Louis Theroux has done 2 seasons of a podcast cause he cant get out and film. I really enjoyed them, but I have a bit of a crush on Louis so could probably listen to him chat about stuff all day. Do you like HP? I loved listening to the Stephen Fry narration. He also does a Sherlock Holmes one but the episodes are all uploaded all over the place so I ditched that one. I also dont mind Wilosophy, (Will Anderson) but he hasnt uploaded an episode for a whileAnd lastly, Judith Lucy - Overwhelmed & Dying. Hilarious and thought provoking.
Jersey Caramel
David Tennant Does a Podcast with... - DT just having a conversation with various celebrities, I enjoyed many of them.Similarly A Podcast of Ones Own with Julia Gillard talking to various other women about feminism, leadership etc. This American Life - variety.Nice White Parents- by the same people who do This American Life, Serial etc so it is well produced and is about racial segregation of American schools and the various failed attempts to integrate them. And for much lighter content, Hamish and Andy got me through lockdown/2020 - I walked for hours getting through their back catalogue (start from the beginning as there are lots of running jokes) and they are just silly and funny and a good mood lifter. The Pineapple Project was pretty good too - they had a few different seasons on various topics - one about money/ budgeting, one about work, one about managing clutter, etc.
banyan
Lots of the Radio National podcasts appeal to me. There is such a range. Do you speak another language? I am using podcasts in my areas of interest ( eg science or history) to keep up my language skills.

maliwoo
I really like You're Wrong About. And also some history ones, The History Chicks is really good and talks about women in history at some length. I really like Stuff You Missed in History Class as well. This Podcast Will Kill You is really interesting if you have a strong stomach - it is about the history of various diseases.

AFR produced. And Old Boys Club, a new Aus politics podcast , feminist angle. 2 women hosts, one is a Guardian writer. I've listened to the one of each and will listen to more. Lou-bags
A friend put me onto HeavyWeight. “DescriptionHeavyweight is a Gimlet Media podcast created and produced by humorist Jonathan Goldstein where he helps people try to resolve a moment from their past that they wish they could change”Some are really good!Another for if you like science at all is RN Presents ‘Patient Zero’. It’s a short series (season one has 4 eps, season 2 has only just started but I think it’s another 4). Each covers a specific disease outbreak- how it was first noticed and how the pathogen responsible was identified. Sooo good.
leosmum
For generally interesting and thought provoking, I recommend Invisibilia from NPR. Also their other podcast Rough Translation.I love Brene Brown so always listen to her Unlocking Us podcast.Currently listening to season 2 of Andrew Denton’s Better Off Dead which is fascinating listening around Victoria’s voluntary assisted dying legislation. I’m a Handmaids tragic so I’m also listening to Eyes on Gilead - totally may not be your thing!
Andi
Thanks for the Eyes on Gilead rec, I had sort of run out of podcasts so I think I might listen to ones based on shows now. I have actually just started Sentimental in the City (the podcast is Sentimental Garbage), each ep discusses a season of Sex and the City. Leigh Sales recommended it on Chat 10 Looks 3. I had heard about a podcast by Kevin on The Office that I thought I'd try too, we've nearly finished watching it. My Dad Wrote a Porno is back next week too. GrannySmith
Oh good. More of me laughing like a lunatic and having the kids ask what’s so funny. I do listen on headphones. I have to be careful not to drive off the road I’ve had to pull over a few times I was laughing so hard I felt I was a danger on the road. It’s hands down the best podcast I’ve found, I love it so much.
HoneyBear
There were some good recommendations here, anyone have anymore suggestions? thanks!
Lady Sybil Vimes
If anyone was a Late Show, Martin Molloy fan then SizzleTown by Tony Martin is brilliant. He plays the host of a talkback podcast, does the voices of all the callers. Very funny. Heaps of swearing.
caitiri
I seem to remember someone recommending a podcast that was about all different types of conspiracy theories and why they’re fake can anyone remember the name?
