Seayork2002
I am thinking more novels but any suggestions?
Mooguru
Bill Bryson's Notes from a Big Country is my go to any time I need a pick me up.
Kiwi Bicycle
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum bounty hunter novels. However she's written over 20 now and the formula is getting a bit stale, but the first ones ( up to around number 15) are very funny. Crombek
Let's Pretend this Never Happened by Jenny Lawson and Yes, Please by Amy Poehler are probably the funniest books I've ever read. Also not strictly a book, but the podcast My Dad Wrote a Porno is amazingly funny. I can't listen to it when running because I literally can't breathe.
Sancti-claws
I got quite a chuckle flicking through Dishonesty is the Second-Best Policy by David Mitchell

jojonbeanie
I'm currently reading The Switch by Beth O'Leary as I felt I needed a light chic lit read. It's making be giggle and might fit your bill. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/45134200-the-switch
Rosie28
Anything by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee. It's niche, knitting humour, but she's hilarious.
FloFlo
My family and other animals -Gerald Durrell. One of my most favourite books of all time. One of those books where if you read it in public people might think you're nuts cause you'll be laughing out loud over and over again (well I was and I did get strange looks!). Tinsel
Three Men In a Boat by Jerome K. Jerome.I was given this book when I finished school way back in the '.70s I started reading it on the bus to work to while away the 40 minute trip, and was laughing out loud. I've re-read it many times and still laugh.

Mocha
shopaholic series? I randomly picked it up after vaguely remembering the movie with Isla Fisher. Have read 3 of them and they are pretty funny. Very light and easy reading.
Guest BusbyWilkes
This Is Going To Hurt by Adam Kay is hilarious (and heartwrenching, in parts). I was just coming in to say this. Not just funny, but the funny bits are laugh out loud moments. Particularly for those with a health background.

I read it at the gym and drew a few looks when I actually burst out laughing on the exercise bike.

Guest
Ill add another vote for Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. They make me laugh out loud every time I read them and Ive re-read them heaps. the 27th book is burning a hole on my bookshelf but need to finish my current book before I can get to it. There's also a movie based on the first book, not as good as the books but alright.

pelagic
I liked the Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion recently. I laughed quite a lot and don't usually. However, I probably wouldn't read it if you have anyone on the spectrum in your life. It seems to annoy people more than anything else when that is the case. Popper
"Lucky Jim" is an absolute classic that makes me laugh out loud.Seinfeld's book released last year was also hilarious (not a novel). It was such a great insight into how to write for comedic timing and effect. My poor family suffered me giggling through it for a week. eponee
The Flatshare by Beth O'Leary - you'll shriek with laughter, rage with anger and your heart will break. A great read though
Princess Peach
My family and other animals -Gerald Durrell. One of my most favourite books of all time. One of those books where if you read it in public people might think you're nuts cause you'll be laughing out loud over and over again (well I was and I did get strange looks!). Is this one of the ones they made into the TV series? On topic and oldie, but most of Kathy Lette’s novels are good for a giggle.Or if you want total MAFS style trashy read, dawn french ‘according to yes’ was good.
