What’s in my office roof?

I’m getting these soft feathery things left on my desk when I come into the office in the morning. Old building with the tile paneled ceiling that you can lift up and is not in great condition. I’m assuming they are coming out of the small gaps in the ceiling or the air conditioning ducts. Is it a bird? Insect?

Looks like a strand from a feather duster to me. Do you have cleaners that come in overnight?

Yes! I think that's what it might be.

Or it could be that, I knew I knew it from somewhere

One of those ostrich feather type ones. After a while they drop their bits LOL

This thread reminds me of the possums we had in the roof at my work, when we were in a 100+ year old hospital building. If you stayed late you could hear them scurrying around the walls, and one evening one of them fell through a ceiling tile into the office!
